Beyond the ordinary

Healing begins with feeling safe enough to be yourself. Shauna believes that meaningful therapy is built on trust, authenticity, and genuine human connection. She creates a warm, compassionate environment where you can explore life's challenges without fear of judgment, knowing you'll be met with empathy, respect, and understanding.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief, or difficult life transitions, Shauna considers it a privilege to walk alongside you. Together, you'll explore the experiences, emotions, and patterns that have shaped your life while creating space for growth, healing, and lasting change.

Area of Focus

Anxiety, Depression & Trauma

Anxiety, depression, and trauma can affect the way you think, feel, and experience the world around you. Shauna provides a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can safely explore your experiences, better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to manage emotions, build resilience, and move toward greater healing and emotional well-being.

Boundaries, Self-Worth & Personal Growth

Many people struggle with setting healthy boundaries, managing perfectionism, or feeling like they need to put everyone else's needs before their own. Shauna works collaboratively with clients to build self-awareness, strengthen self-worth, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Together, you'll create practical strategies that foster confidence, self-compassion, and meaningful personal growth.

Addiction, Grief & Life Transitions

Whether you're working toward recovery, coping with grief and loss, or navigating a major life transition, you don't have to do it alone. Shauna offers a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can openly explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop realistic strategies that promote healing, resilience, and lasting positive change.

My Approach

Shauna takes a client-centred, evidence-based approach that recognizes every person's story is unique. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, she works collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change.

Her practice is informed by evidence-based therapies including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, and Brief CBT for Suicide Prevention. Rather than focusing on techniques alone, Shauna tailors each session to your unique goals, helping you build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change.

What To Expect

Your first session is simply a conversation. It's an opportunity to share your story, discuss what's bringing you to counselling, and begin identifying the goals that matter most to you. There is no pressure to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin—therapy unfolds at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

Throughout the counselling process, Shauna provides encouragement, practical guidance, and compassionate support while helping you build confidence in your ability to navigate life's challenges. Her goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools you can begin using in your everyday life.
